In Memory of Glenn F. Mouton

Glenn Francis Mouton, FSA 1975, MAAA 1975, FCA 1978, EA 1978 of Belleair, Florida, passed away unexpectedly at his house Monday, Nov. 8, 2021 at the age of 74.

Glenn was born Feb. 25, 1947, in Eunice, Louisiana, to John Rigsby Mouton and Ruby Mouton.
He got his undergraduate degree from LSU New Orleans in mathematics and earned his master’s degree in actuarial science from the University of Michigan. Glenn started his career at Pan American Life as a life actuary. He moved to Florida to work for Wakely & Associates for many years before starting his own firm, Mouton & Company, a pension administrative and actuarial consulting firm in 1985.

Glenn was so very proud of his daughter who followed in his footsteps to become a very successful actuary. Ashlee married a terrific man who enriched our family with the addition of his parents, Calin and Rodica Borcan. Many wonderful memories were made during family gatherings.

Glenn was the consummate host and loved good food, good wine and a great book. He loved to follow current events and would email articles to his friends on a daily basis. At least once a week you could find Glenn and Nanette at the bar at Alfanos talking to friends - Frank and Linda Alfano, Keith or Matt or Nicolette - or at their other favorite hangout - the Belleair Country Club, discussing wine with Slavy. He will be sorely missed by all his friends, including his lunch groups and the SWIG gang.

He is predeceased by his father, John Rigsby Mouton, and his brother, Lee Paul Mouton.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Nanette; his daughter, Ashlee Borcan (Fulviu); his adored grandchildren, Sonia (12) and Jensen (10); and his mother, Ruby Mouton.
