I would like to keep everyone updated on four different topics. First of all, I want to congratulate Noor Rajah, Bill Reardon and Achille Simen for becoming council members, we look forward to working with them. A big thank you to Joeff Williams and Derek Kueker whose terms expire in 2015. We certainly appreciate their efforts at the helm of the Entrepreneurial Section and hope they will remain involved in the many projects we have planned.
Sue Martz from the SOA will retire at the end of November. We appreciate Sue’s hard work, always keeping the council moving forward, making sure we are on schedule and act within the boundaries of our positions. Her friends from the Entrepreneurial Section wish her the best of luck in the future.
The council will meet in Chicago in mid-November. We meet annually to accomplish a number of objectives, including getting to know each other better and, on this occasion, planning for 2016. The key planning objective is to design SOA-sponsored meetings that continue to be relevant to entrepreneurs, but in addition, we will discuss content and format of webinars and other forms of communication. If you have ideas or suggestions, please reach out to a council member so that we include them in our discussions.
Finally, it is my pleasure to announce that Kevin Pledge is leading an important project: the creation of what we call The Entrepreneur Book. Kevin has spent a significant amount of time organizing content and working with the SOA to develop a product that should be of interest to intrapreneurs and entrepreneurs. We will discuss this initiative during the meeting.
As always if you have ideas, please let us know.
