In Memory of Susan Elliott

Susan D. Elliott, FSA 1988, FIA 2001, passed away at her home in Hamilton, Ontario at the age of 63 on October 6, 2023. Sue was predeceased by her proud parents, Dodie and Nelson Elliott, as well as several aunts, uncles, and her cousin Alan, and is survived by her brother Peter, sister-in-law Pat, aunt Eleanor, and cousins Virginia, Scott, Elliott, Stan, Lisa-Dawn, and Nancy, as well as many friends and former colleagues.

Sue was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on April 5, 1960 and raised in Dundas, Ontario. She was graduated from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, and subsequently worked for Mercantile & General in Toronto. She accepted a 2-year secondment in the UK, that ended up lasting more than 25 years. M&G was acquired by Swiss Re, for whom she subsequently worked. She later worked for Just Retirement in the UK.

In retirement, she enjoyed volunteering with a project team. She also enjoyed seaside outings with her line dancing friends, get-togethers with her neighbors, and cruising with her dear friend Judy. Sue, Pete, and Pat created many memories over the years as they explored England. Two of the greatest loves of Sue's life were her dogs - Bobby, and then Archie.
