President’s Message on DEI Efforts  

Congratulations to the first selection of the DEIC Employer Spotlight, TruStage. Their organization works to listen to and encourage diverse voices, facilitate inclusive recruiting, and so much more. Employer Spotlight applications are still available if your organization is making outstanding DEI efforts.

The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and the Society of Actuaries (SOA) are exploring modifications to their jointly-sponsored program in 2024; in the interim, the current program has been sunset. Candidates who sat for CAS or SOA credentialing requirements through Dec. 31, 2023, can seek reimbursements through March 31, 2024. 

The SOA remains transparent and accountable in its DEI efforts, releasing updated diversity reports that provide an overview of our overall membership in the U.S. and worldwide, new members in the U.S., new entrants to the examination pathway and more.
