Education Transitions 2012 - 2013
This announcement contains information on the following:
- CERA requirements effective July 1, 2012
- FSA requirements for the Finance/ERM track during the Fall 2012-Spring 2013 transition
CERA requirements effective July 1, 2012
Conversion credit for the CERA requirements:
- Candidates with credit for the Operational Risk Module will receive credit for the ERM Module .
- Candidates with credit for the Advanced Finance/ERM (AFE) Exam will receive credit for the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Exam.
FSA requirements for the Finance/ERM track during the Fall 2012-Spring 2013 transition
Transitional changes to the Finance/ERM track took effect on July 1, 2012.
Effective July 1, 2012 through July 1, 2013 candidates following the Finance/ERM track to fellowship must meet the following requirements (in addition to the requirements for ASA):
- Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Module
- Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Exam
- Advanced Finance (AdvF) Exam (transitional exam)
- Financial Economic Theory & Engineering Exam
- Financial and Health Economics Module
- Financial Reporting Module
- Decision Making and Communication (DMAC) Module
- Fellowship Admissions Course (FAC)
Conversion credit for the Finance/ERM track during the Fall 2012-Spring 2013 transition:
- Candidates with credit for the Operational Risk Module will receive credit for the ERM Module.
- Candidates with credit for the Advanced Finance/ERM (AFE) Exam will receive credit for both the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Exam and the Advanced Finance (AdvF) transitional exam.
Registration for the ERM Exam and the AdvF Exam
- Fall 2012 – Candidates may register for the ERM Exam alone or for both the ERM Exam and the AdvF Exam. Candidates may NOT register for the AdvF Exam without the ERM Exam.
- Spring 2013 – Candidates may register for the ERM Exam alone or for both the ERM Exam and the AdvF Exam. Candidates who passed the ERM Exam in Fall 2012 MAY register for the AdvF Exam alone.
