ReView: Video Series
The short video series "ReView" (Reinsurance Point of View) features interviews with a variety of industry leaders from reinsurers, insurers, and consulting firms to talk about reinsurance related hot topics, trends, concerns, solutions, etc. Each video is 2-5 minutes long and available on the Reinsurance Section YouTube channel.

Episode 10: Craig Buck (Converge Re)
Craig Buck (President and CEO of Converge Re) talked about how asset-intensive reinsurance (AIR) can help insurers on in-force blocks, and on new business, respectively. Craig also shared his thoughts on non-financial benefits that the partnership with asset-intensive reinsurers can provide to the insurers.

Dave Goehrke at Munich Re described the landscape of Accelerated Underwriting nowadays from a reinsurance underwriter’s perspective, and explored what this together with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) mean for the future of underwriting and pricing.
Episode 8: Adrian Lynch (Blue Ocean)
Adrian Lynch (CEO of Blue Ocean) shared his thoughts about changes taking place in Cayman reinsurance world, and future development in Cayman in life, annuity, and PRT business lines. He also explained what kind of services that Insurance Managers provide, and why companies are using MGA services.
Episode 7: Rob Bachler (Milliman)
Rob Bachler at Milliman discussed with us things happening now in reinsurance world that health plans and insurers should be aware of, and examples of things happening in healthcare whose impact may not be fully appreciated by reinsurers, in addition to hottest topics in employer stop-loss and healthcare reinsurance.
Episode 6: David Wang (Milliman)
David Wang at Milliman has recently been involved in quite many Japan related projects. He talked about the reasons for the surge of asset-intensive reinsurance transactions in Japan, and what the key areas for focus are when US actuaries look at Japan products.
Episode 5: Michelle Lerch (SCOR)
Michelle Lerch at SCOR talked about the advantages of partnering with reinsurers, and the considerations that insurers shall take when selecting a reinsurer to partner with. Michelle also shared her observation of how the relationships between insurers and reinsurers have changed over the past 20 years.

In this episode, reinsurer Jeremy Trader at Knighthead addressed the concerns from the insurers that if the ceding company would be disadvantaged due to unrealized losses under the high interest rate environment.
