Supervisor Qualifications
To serve as an Examination Supervisor for a special center, the following qualifications must be met.
Qualification for Examination Supervisor
At a minimum, the person should be sufficiently advanced in the examination system to have demonstrated a firm commitment to the actuarial profession. No individuals may supervise an exam for which they do not have credit for.
If possible, the supervisor should be an Associate or Fellow of one of the following organizations:
- Society of Actuaries (SOA)
- Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS)
- Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA)
- Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA)
If an Associate or Fellow of one of the above is not on staff, then approval may be given for the following individuals to serve as exam supervisors:
- A tenured academic or a qualified testing professional.
- An employee of an insurance company/educational institution.
- The local testing representative at the United States Embassy.
