The Valuation Actuary (ValAct) Meetings empower actuaries across all practice areas for success with in-depth content on the latest valuation and financial reporting concepts, including US GAAP, US Tax Account, and International Reporting Standards (IFRS). ValAct content is tailored for professionals specializing in valuation actuarial practices within the insurance and financial industries. These meetings will explore the latest valuation and financial reporting concepts, and provide engaging, interactive events for the valuation actuarial community.
Attendees will have over 36 sessions to choose from on topics covering:

Thomas Frey, Futurist
Futurist Thomas Frey, best known as Google’s top-rated futurist speaker and IBM’s most award-winning engineer, is the author, creator and online personality behind “Future Like A Boss,” the internationally renowned course filled with unusual processes and techniques for understanding the future.
As the founder and resident futurist at the DaVinci Institute, Thomas has built an enormous following around the world based on his ability to develop accurate visions of the future and describe the opportunities ahead. He brings to his audiences a rare blend of reality-based thinking coupled with a clear-headed visualization of the world ahead. Predicting the future has little value without understanding the driving forces behind the trends, subtle nuances that can be leveraged, and implications for both the people directly affected in the industry as well as others farther down the technological food chain.
