2020 Board of Directors Elections Results
The Society of Actuaries (SOA) announced the results of its member voting, with Jennifer L. Gillespie, FSA, MAAA, serving as 2020-2021 president-elect. Gillespie will begin her duties as the 73rd SOA president at the 2021 SOA Annual Meeting and Exhibit, for the 2021-2022 term.
During her term as SOA president, Gillespie’s focus will be to ensure the Society of Actuaries has strong, flexible and creative leaders.
Gillespie previously served as VP of Actuarial Services at Consortium Health Plans, and VP of Underwriting for BlueCross BlueShield of Minnesota. She is a very active SOA volunteer as Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer and Member of the Leadership Team, Member of the Joint Committee on Inclusion, Equity and Diversity and a past SOA Board member. Gillespie has been retired for the last two years and has focused on her volunteering for the Society of Actuaries and as a judge and Chief Referee for U.S. Figure Skating.
