Financial and Regulatory Environment (GIFREU) Exam
Overview
The Financial and Regulatory Environment (GIFREU) Exam provides an assessment on how to analyze different types of elements of financial reporting for general insurance companies. Candidates demonstrate actuarial standards of practice and analyze general insurer’s financial health through prescribed formulas, ratios and other solvency regulation methods.
The SOA does not offer the Canadian version of the Financial and Regulatory Environment (FRE) exam. The SOA provides a waiver for the FRE-Canada exam to those passing Exam 6C from the CAS.
