The North American Actuarial Journal (NAAJ) - FAQs
What is the North American Actuarial Journal (NAAJ)?
NAAJ is the SOA's premier scholarly publication and only refereed journal. The NAAJ scientifically addresses the domestic and international problems, interests and concerns of actuaries, their customers, and public policy decision makers. It is listed in the Web of Science and Emerging Sources Citation Index. The SOA partners with Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group to publish the NAAJ, which serves the international, scientific, academic, business and governmental communities. Articles are first published online at Taylor & Francis Online. The NAAJ is also published in print.

How would a scholarly researcher become published in the NAAJ?
You may wish to read the Instructions for Authors. The NAAJ has formal submission and editorial review and decision-making processes; the journal is double-blind, peer reviewed. Submissions are sent to reviewers for assessment, and the authors do not know the identities of the reviewers, and the reviewers do not know the names of the authors. The reviews inform the editorial board decision making. For more information about the NAAJ’s Scope and Aims, the submission process, the NAAJ Editorial Board, or Instructions for Authors, visit the Taylor & Francis Online page for the NAAJ.
Taylor & Francis also has general resources for authors.
What if I need more help navigating Taylor & Francis Online?
Taylor & Francis has a detailed “Help Center.”
Who would I contact if I have other questions that not covered here or in any of the other “Help” resources mentioned in these FAQs?
You may contact the NAAJ Editorial Office at NAAJ@soa.org.
